Women’s Workshop #2 on 1/10 at Temple Beth El

Women’s Workshop Series in the Pioneer Valley: The Creative Powers of Women

Creating Life: Reflections on Motherhood

As women we are caregivers, creators, and mothers, whether biological or otherwise. In this role we are often faced with the challenge of discerning what is best for our children and finding the strength to make sacrifices on their behalf. What was Yocheved the mother or Moses thinking as she put him in the bulrushes and watched as he was taken off to Pharoh’s palace? Did she feel she had done enough to save and protect her child? We will explore this question and other notions of motherhood through movement, meditation, and Jewish text study.
